HDS Hydrodynamic Separator


The HDS Hydrodynamic Separator is designed to separate suspended solids and inclusions from a liquid medium, having a density gradient of at least 0.01, such media include the protein solutions, waste water containing oil, aqueous solutions containing organic substances, various colloid systems.
The Hydrodynamic Separator is of cylindrical shape with inlet and outlet pipes for the separated medium, foam and solid inclusions. The feeding pipe is equipped with the multiple-stage ejector device; the pipe outlet for discharging suspended solids as foam is equipped with a vacuum-type defoamer. The separation chambers are located within the housing of the HDS Separator and connected with the outlet lines for floating fraction and solids respectively.

The HDS separation factor can be increased through aseries of hydrodynamic separators installed as a battery or by repeated circulation of the liquid under separation. HDS Separators applied in parallel provides any separation performance. The HDS Separator application for fluids cleaning from suspended solids eliminates clarifiers, aerators, foam flotation.
Hydrodynamic separators are devices using solely the kinetic energy of the transfer pump; they are easy in the separation process control, absolutely reliable and are characterized by low metal consumption.
